The Encyclopedia of Lynncair

Rathvar Keep is a semi-abandoned military outpost of the city of Arakast; it is located several leagues South of Arakast, on the boundaries of the Endless Desert. The keep was originally founded to act as an extension of the Arakast presence in the desert, to aid and support Empire's combatants in their never-ending conflict with the people of the desert; however, the keep has changed hands many times, and its possession often alternates several times per year between the desert folk and Arakast's military. Every so often, the Arakast military sends a strike force to raid the keep in an attempt to permanently win it back, but such attempts hardly ever do much good for long.
