The Encyclopedia of Lynncair

The Monastery of Cimur is located on Cimur Isle, which is just off the East Coast of Lynncair, near the small city of Nior. The Monastery is home to the Order of Cimur, a group of monks dedicated to the pursuit and preservation of knowledge. Members of the order live in the Monastery, and travelers--scholars in particular--often visit the Isle to learn from the monks or to read some ancient tome or another that is kept in the great Library of Cimur, for which the Monastery is best-known. The Library is the largest in Lynncair, and houses over one million individual tomes, many of them original manuscripts; many of the novice monks spend their days copying these tomes to sell to visitors.
