The Encyclopedia of Lynncair

On the return voyage through the Beldar Mountain range from a mission that the King of Lynncair himself had given him, the Elite Stormguard Parnamm was ambushed by a hoard of hostile Sereti. Had he been accompanied by his fellows, Parnamm would surely have had no trouble dispatching of the ambush force, but as it was, he was alone and weary; despite his heroic efforts, the warrior was overwhelmed by crossbow-wielding and spell-casting Sereti, who--while unable to slay Parnamm outright--were able, through earth-shaking spells and a last-ditch charge, to force the hero over the edge of a cliff.

Parnamm’s last campsite was found several days later when a rescue force made its way to the site of the battle; after disposing of the bodies of countless Sereti, a memorial statue was put up in the warrior’s honor.

Parnamm was a famous figure in the history of the Stormguard due to his departure from the norm in terms of weapon-choice; while most Stormguard choose to use bladed weapons, Parnamm insisted on using his enchanted hammer--he presumably took it to his grave, for the great hammer has never been located after the warrior’s death.
