The Encyclopedia of Lynncair

Ever since there was a King of Lynncair, there have been the Stormguard. They are the sworn protectors of Lynncair, who have dedicated their lives to service and maintaining peace throughout the land.

Tradition dictates that all Stormguards be proficient with bladed weapons; most Stormguards choose to follow the path of the sword, though a few prefer the axe. The Stormguard are based out of Kranomyrr, Lynncair’s capital city, but they are obligated to visit each and every settlement in the land at least once each year.

There exists an “honor guard” of sorts called the Elite Stormguard, which consists of just that--those Stormguards judged the most skilled and loyal by their peers. The Elite Stormguard stay in close proximity to the King, and swear an additional oath to never leave Kranomyrr without his express permission. The symbol for the Stormguard is a jagged sword with an blue lightning leaping up and down the blade.
