The Encyclopedia of Lynncair

North-West

The smallest region of Lynncair in terms of land mass--but far from the least-significant--is the North-West.  Bordered to the South by the Northern-half of the Amon-Dur Mountains and to the East by the Valley of Lost Faith, the North-West is the home of the absolute highest and lowest points on Lynncair.

In the farthest North-Western point of the continent is the province of Kiaster, located on a plot of land that is all but an island--it is connected to the mainland by a colossal marble bridge that is thought to have been constructed in the times of the Gods.  The Kiastarel--the largest forest in all of Lynncair--makes up a large part of the North-East tip of the continent itself, and separates Kiastar and its great bridge from casual travelers coming along the North-West Kranomyrr Road--which comes from Kranomyrr and skirts the Northern tip of the Amon-Dur Mountains to make its way West to where it enters the Kiastarel.  North of the place where the North Kranomyrr Road splits into the North-West Kranomyrr Road and the North-East Kranomyrr Road is the Valley of Lost Faith, which covers a significant amount of North-central Lynncair.

Vertically-bisecting the North-Western region is the Dantoun River, which originates in the Northern Amon-Dur Mountains and empties itself into the North Bay.  The rest of the North-Western region consists largely of flat, grassy plains.  Several final points of interest in the North-West are the Misty Valley, enclosed in the middle of the Northern portion of the Amon-Dur Mountains, and the Forest of Llonyrr, a large forest tucked in the curve of the Amon-Dur mountains on the side of Kranomyrr (the East).
