The Encyclopedia of Lynncair - Geography -
North-East
The North-East of Lynncair is bordered to the South by the East-Kranomyrr Road (which cuts through the lower-edge of the Sereti Hills) and to the West by the Western-edge of the Forest of Tsikara, Lynncair's second-largest forest (behind the Kiastarel to the North-West). Two major roads cross the region--the North Kranomyrr Road (coming North from the capital) forks into the North-Eastern Kranomyrr Road, which continues East to Lynncair's coast. Just after that first fork comes a second one--the Jaton Road breaks off to the North from the North-Eastern Kranomyrr Road at the city of Clonneloth. The Jaton Road traverses the Forest of Tsikara and eventually arrives at Jaton, a middle-sized town located on Lynncair's Northern coast. To the East of the Jaton Road, covering much of the region all the way East to the Byten Cliffs, is the Debira Reach, a cold, harsh wasteland. The Byten Cliffs are located at the farthest North-East point on Lynncair, and extend vertically down along the Eastern coastline. The North-Eastern Kranomyrr Road continues East from Clonneloth, and crosses the Debira Reach. At the Eastern edge of the Reach, South of the Byten Cliffs and up against the coast, is the town of Nior; a ferry-boat trip away from Nior due-East lies the Isle of Cimur, where the Monastery of Cimur is located. South of Nior, the coastline pulls in to the West, then juts sharply out to the East again, creating the East Bay. At the inland-most point of the East Bay is the town of Oreyn, a small settlement most famous for Castle Oreyn, a many-spired architectural masterpiece that overlooks the entire Bay. The rest of the Southern region of the North-East (which is effectively Lynncair's mid-East) is made up of the Sereti Hills, which begin in the North-East, and extend South into the South-East. |
